SALT LAKE CITY — One man was hospitalized in serious condition after being shot by police Monday night.
According to the Salt Lake police, the man was "displaying psychotic behavior" before the shooting. Police said he was running across the road and hitting cars and windshields.
When police arrived on the scene, they noticed the man had a knife, police said. Police said he refused to put the knife down, which led to police shooting him.
Police said the man sustained serious injuries, but is expected to recover.
