SALT LAKE CITY — Evacuations were ordered for the Salt Lake City Justice Court on Wednesday after a "suspicious letter" with threats written in it was discovered, police said.

Evacuations at the courthouse, located at 333 S. 200 East, happened about 2:30 p.m., said Salt Lake Police Sgt. Greg Wilking.

The courthouse was cleared as a precaution, according to Wilking. However, he didn't say whether the letter was dropped off in person or mailed, or if the threats were directed at any particular person.
