COVE FORT, Millard County — One person is dead and two others are critically injured after a rollover crash on I-15 near Cove Fort.

"The vehicle went off to the right and overcorrected back to the left. The vehicle spun into the median, where it rolled and two passengers were ejected," Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Cam Roden said.

All three passengers were men, who at this point haven't been identified.

Roden said the front seat passenger of the vehicle sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene after being thrown in the crash. The backseat passenger, who was also thrown, sustained "moderate to serious" injuries and was transported by ground. Additionally, the driver and lone occupant who wasn't thrown was airlifted from the scene, also critically injured.

Northbound lanes of I-15 opened around 10 a.m., Roden said, followed by the southbound lanes opening around noon.
