CORTINA D'AMPEZZO, Italy — At a restaurant called Al Passetto in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Olympic torches line the walls.
The man who owns the place, Giorgio Ghedina, said he has been collecting Olympic torches for many decades.
"It's my, how you say, passion," he said.

He has around 40, he said, a collection built over a lifetime.
"I started 20, 25 years ago," Ghedina said.
Olympic athletes frequently come through the city of Cortina.
When a medalist comes into his restaurant, Ghedina asks them to sign the torch from the Olympic Games where they won.
From Team USA, he has signatures from Lindsey Vonn and Mikaela Shiffrin.
And yes, hanging there among the rest is a torch from the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympic Games.
We'll have to come back in eight years to see if the 2034 Salt Lake City torch made it up to Al Passetto's wall.
