32-year-old man killed after crashing head-on into semi in Nephi

NEPHI — The Utah Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Thursday morning in Nephi.

At about 6:15 a.m., a Toyota Corolla heading west on state Route 132 just west of Nephi swerved into the eastbound lanes and crashed head-on with a semitruck, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

The Toyota driver, a 32-year-old man, died at the scene, UHP Lt. Cameron Roden said. The truck driver was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

The road was closed in both directions for about four hours as troopers responded to the scene.
