SALT LAKE CITY — Understanding the value of feeding the hungry, the Salt Lake City Mission hosted its annual "Christmas Food Box Giveaway" on Monday and Deseret News photojournalist Laura Seitz visited the mission to document the event.

According to organizers, each food box included "all the items to prepare a Christmas meal at home. A real gift to families who are on the financially low side of things."
