ST. GEORGE — There was plenty to celebrate at Crimson Cliffs on senior night, but it was a junior who helped set the tone early in the Mustangs' 56-7 win over Pine View.
Running back Kade Shaw wasted no time making an impact.
He scored the opening touchdown for Crimson Cliffs and helped the Mustangs build momentum that continued throughout the game. By the end of the night, Shaw had logged 37 rushing yards on seven carries, averaging 5.3 yards per attempt as Crimson Cliffs claimed another region victory.
As a junior, Shaw has already proved to not only be a stand out player but also a team leader that sets the pace for this team. Shaw continues to set the standard for a team chasing another deep postseason run.
Crimson Cliffs has plenty of stars, but Friday night, it was Shaw who helped the Mustangs start fast and finish strong, and that's why Kade Shaw is this week's player of the week.
