SOUTH OGDEN — A South Ogden woman is facing sexual abuse charges in connection with the alleged assault of her disabled roommate.

Dawn McAteer, 72, was charged Thursday in 2nd District Court with object rape, a first-degree felony, and forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony. stemming from alleged encounters last May between her and her roommate.

McAteer sexually assaulted the victim without consent while the victim was in bed, according to charging documents, which add that the victim suffers from "a mental disorder that makes her unable to consent."
