SALT LAKE CITY — A 61-year-old woman is in critical condition after she and a man were hit by a car Monday night in Salt Lake City while crossing the street.

The woman and a 68-year-old man were in a crosswalk at 700 East and 200 South at about 9:15 p.m., when they were hit by a 17-year-old girl turning west onto 200 South, according to Salt Lake police.

The man was treated at the scene. The woman was taken to a hospital to be treated for a head injury and was later downgraded to critical condition, police said.

The driver is cooperating with police. As of Tuesday morning, no arrests had been made or citations issued.
