THE COURTROOM — It was only a matter of time until someone created a YouTube short with a baby acting as Judge Judy.
Actually, a baby not only acts as Judge Judy, but also as the plaintiff and defendant in the pretend episode. The whole thing calls for a cuteness overload while the babies act as if they're treating each other miserably.
If you are not up on who Judge Judy is, she is a no-nonsense judge who presides over real life small claims court cases. Judge Judy Sheindlin used to serve as a Manhattan Family Court judge and has served as the namesake and star of the television show "Judge Judy" for the past 25 years. She also presides over similar issues on the reality show "Judy Justice."
According to the Nielsen rating system, "Judge Judy" was the highest-rated courtroom show for its entire television run. Needless to say, Judge Judy — the show and the individual — are popular with the television-watching public.
So, it should not come as a surprise that someone created recreations of TV episodes for YouTube. But "Scroll Stop Baby," a content page on YouTube, takes it a step further. They use babies as the real-life courtroom participants.
Assumingly, this is all done with the help of artificial intelligence — otherwise, these babies are the only ones ever to sit still and follow directions.
Scroll Stop Baby's YouTube page started in February of this year. The content creators say they have various celebrities and well-known figures being played by babies, but the Judge Judy video has taken on a life of its own.
The clip above, posted Sunday, shows how the babies make the whole thing, well, cute. You would never think of a reality show taking place in a courtroom as an example of anything cute. But here we are.
