EUREKA, Juab County — A man was killed in a motorcycle crash southwest of Eureka, Juab County, late Sunday.

The crash happened at 10:17 p.m. on state Route 36, about 3 miles northwest of the highway's junction with U.S. 6. The motorcyclist was northbound and failed to negotiate a curve, went off the roadway and hit a delineator post, according to a statement from the Utah Highway Patrol.

The driver, a 28-year-old man, died from his injuries, UHP said. His identity has not been released as of Monday afternoon.

State troopers are investigating the crash, but UHP's statement says it appears the motorcyclist may have been traveling "at a higher rate of speed."
