MURRAY — Utah Highway Patrol reported over 50 crashes across northern Utah Wednesday morning, one of which temporarily closed eastbound lanes of I-215 at the I-15 interchange in Murray.

The Utah Department of Transportation reported all travel lanes and the left shoulder were blocked at mile marker 12 by the I-15 interchange in Murray before reopening around an hour later. At least one ambulance could be seen from UDOT traffic cameras, as well as a number of Utah Highway Patrol cars.

UHP Lt. Cam Roden told KSL Wednesday that 50 crashes had been reported on the freeway by 7 a.m.

No information was immediately available on the number of vehicles involved in the Murray crash, injuries, cause of the accident, or estimated time it would be cleared. All lanes were reopened around 9:45 a.m.
