THE NEIGHBORHOOD — I've been thinking a lot about garage doors lately.

During the winter months, mine clatters like a World War I tank every time it opens and closes. It has gaps between the panels that allow wind to enter the garage and freeze all of us in the house. It also still has a dent from that time I parked an RV in the driveway and didn't quite gauge the distance well enough.

One thing I've never thought about is how cool it would be to have an invisible garage door. You know, a door that blended into the front of my house and only made itself known when I clicked a button and it silently opened to make way for my car.

After seeing this video, however, I think a camouflaged door might be worth the investment.

This video, which was shot in Barcelona, is pretty cool. You might wonder why anyone would go through the trouble to hide their garage door. But then you look at the old-school metal door just a few feet away, which is covered in graffiti. By hiding their door, the owners apparently avoid vandalism and get to look like James Bond every time they exit the building.
