ANCHORAGE, Alaska — When traffic slows on your commute, it's easy to blame congestion, construction or an accident ahead. In Alaska, the holdup is just as likely due to wildlife wandering down the street.

A viral video from February shows cars slowing for a moose strolling down a road in Anchorage. The moose casually obeys the law and even stops at a red light.

Apparently, this isn't the only creature that's aware of traffic rules. A video from five years ago shows another moose ambling through a crosswalk in Anchorage on a green light, just "like a law-abiding pedestrian."

While some motorists may have gawked at the sight, locals probably weren't surprised. Commenters said, "That's how they roll in Anchorage," "(It's) just like a regular day for them."

More than 1,000 moose live inside greenbelts and neighborhoods around Anchorage, according to Alaska.org.
