BORMIO, Italy — Emily Harrop of France and Spain's Oriol Cardona Coll won World Cup ski mountaineering races that served as a test event for next year's Olympics. Skimo will be making its Olympic debut at the Milan-Cortina Games, at least the shortened version of the sport. Men's and women's sprint races and mixed relays will take place in Bormio, but the much longer formats of skimo will not be featured at the Games. The course setup at the foot of the iconic Stelvio slope proved a hit with athletes. It is even more special for Nicolò Ernesto Canclini as the Italian skimo star lives 300 meters from the slope.
