WEST JORDAN — A 45-year-old man was killed in a crash in West Jordan early Monday.
Just after midnight, a U-Haul box truck collided with a pickup truck at the intersection of 4800 West and 7800 South, according to West Jordan police. The drivers of each vehicle were taken to local hospitals. The man driving the box truck later died from his injuries. A 20-year-old man driving the pickup was transported in critical condition, according to police.
West Jordan police say they are investigating whether the U-Haul driver ran a red light. Impairment was not believed to be a factor.
