WEST JORDAN — A man was hit and killed by a pickup truck in West Jordan early Monday.

About 5:20 a.m., officers were called to an auto-pedestrian crash near 1440 West and 7800 South. They arrived to find 39-year-old Dan Hutchinson had been hit. Hutchinson was taken to a local hospital where he died due to his injuries, according to West Jordan police.

The driver of the pickup remained on scene and was cooperating with investigators.

Police say Hutchinson was believed to be homeless and they were continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the man's death.
