LAS VEGAS — CES is one of the premier tech events in the world, with all of the biggest names flocking to Las Vegas each year to showcase the latest in greatest in technology.
From home tech to electric vehicles and drones, the showroom floors are jam-packed with intriguing products. While it would be impossible to see everything the show has to offer, here are some of the coolest and most innovative tech products to keep an eye on as 2025 kicks off.
TCL Ai Me
TCL — a consumer electronics company that sells television sets, mobile phones, air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators and more — this week rolled out its latest smart home concept: Ai Me (Amy), described as "the world's first modular AI companion robot."
Unlike some artificial intelligence companion robots that look, well, robotic, Ai Me resembles a robotic baby that is actually pretty cute.
It's designed to be an interactive robot companion for children, featuring screens for eyes and built-in cameras and sensors that allow it to interact with its environment and users.
It also has value for parents, as it can function as a smart home control center, integrating with existing TCL smart home devices. During a demonstration, Ai Me helped create grocery lists, made sure the user's electric car was charged for a trip to the store, and even started the car to warm it up to the user's preset desired interior temperature.
With Ai Me's cameras, it has the ability to document daily activities and important milestones like birthdays, anniversaries and celebrations or just wholesome moments, making home videos effortlessly automated.
Panasonic AI refrigerator
Refrigerators can get cluttered, and that clutter can lead to food inadvertently going bad. According to Feeding America, people in the U.S. waste 92 billion pounds of food annually — equal to 145 billion meals and over $473 billion worth of food.
Panasonic's AI refrigerator, which is currently only on the market in Japan, is equipped with interior cameras. By linking the fridge with an app, users can use those cameras to check the contents of the fridge from anywhere, reducing the risk of forgetting to buy something or buying something that is already in the fridge.

It goes even further than that, though. With AI automatically recognizing produce from the images, the fridge can suggest what products should be used first according to when they were placed in the fridge and their shelf life, even recommending recipes to use up that soon-to-expire food.
LG AI mattress
Are you struggling to fall asleep at night? Or once you finally do, are you tossing and turning in bed? Or maybe you're waking up coughing, disrupting precious hours of sleep.
Luckily, LG has partnered with Benzamin to help people ensure restful nights.
"This is LG's way of getting a great night's sleep," said Cassandra Ogbuehi, brand ambassador for LG. "This bed ... is a mattress that has sensors in it. These sensors, in turn, help to detect your movements. It can detect your breathing, it can detect if you're coughing or snoring at night, and then what that does is it pings to this (LG On-device) AI hub."
The AI hub then analyzes those sleep patterns and gives users suggestions on how to improve their sleep and achieve optimal rest.
The hub can also connect to other LG devices in the home, creating an effortless sleep experience. For example, if the mattress detects someone coughing, it can automatically turn on an LG air humidifier. Similarly, if the user is sleeping at abnormally hot or cold temperatures, it could automatically adjust an LG air conditioning unit in the room.

Smart binoculars
