EL PASO, Texas — Led by Devon Barnes' 17 points, the UTEP Miners defeated the Sam Houston Bearkats 81-72. Corey Camper Jr. scored 16 points for UTEP (12-3, 2-0 Conference USA). Marcus Boykin led Sam Houston (7-8, 0-2) with 18 points.
