MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Vikings have obliterated even the most optimistic of external predictions for this transitional season with a 13-2 record entering their matchup against the Green Bay Packers that has made Kevin O'Connell the current favorite for the NFL Coach of the Year award. The Vikings get the No. 1 seed for the playoffs in the NFC if they beat the Packers at home on Sunday and the Detroit Lions on the road the following week. The Packers are 11-4 with their playoff spot secured too. They are 0-4 against the teams with the top three records in the NFC.
