NEW YORK — The NBA has fined Boston forward Jaylen Brown $25,000 for his throat-slash gesture during a victory over Detroit on Wednesday night. NBA head of basketball operations Joe Dumars announced the penalty Friday. The incident took place in the game's first quarter after Brown's two-handed dunk against Detroit center Isaiah Stewart. Brown then stared down Stewart before moving his hand along his throat. Brown told media after the game he expected to hear from the NBA about his actions. Boston defeated the Pistons 130-120.
