MIDVALE — The next draft of Utah High School Activities Association sports has been approved for the first time.

The UHSAA board of trustees met Wednesday and approved its second draft of realignment and new regions for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 school years.

The board will meet twice more before finalizing realignment at its previously scheduled Dec. 19 meeting. Additional meetings are scheduled for Dec. 12 and Dec. 19, as well as a public hearing via video conference Dec. 11 at 6:30 p.m. MST to take input regarding realignment.

Schools will be assigned into regions Dec. 19 by the board of trustees, allowing time for schools and regions to organize and schedule for the next two-year alignment period.

In addition to the hearing, the board of trustees is also seeking public comment regarding school placement for the upcoming cycle. Feedback can be delivered through the form here.
