AMMON, Idaho — A Secret Santa in Idaho is giving a total of $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season and the East Idaho News elves are helping out.

Throughout December we'll be posting a Secret Santa surprise, and last week we surprised a cook who works at an IHOP.

Paul is a single father who cares for his adult children with special needs. He also works full-time at the IHOP in Ammon.

Over the past year, Paul has had trouble with vehicles. He often has to walk to and from work because his car is not reliable. He tries his hardest and does what he can for his kids, but his home needs many repairs and he financially can't afford another car.

Paul is always offering to help wherever he can at work and stays as late as he needs to. He previously worked at Denny's from the day the restaurant opened in Idaho Falls to the day it closed – 30 years!

Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News elves to visit Paul and surprise him with an early Christmas gift.

See his reaction to the big surprise on EastIdahoNews.com.
