THE WORKSHOP — My car needs a new headlight. For lots of people, that would be an easy fix. They'd swing by the auto parts store, buy the replacement and have it fixed in no time.
I'm not quite that handy. And, speaking of hands, mine are really big. So it's sometimes difficult for me to fit into tight spaces under the hood and manipulate small parts.
All this is to say that I'll be taking my car to the shop to get the bulb replaced. I feel a bit of shame, as my dad would never need to do that.
But having professionals work on my car also spares me from situations like the one in this video.
This self-described "try-it-yourself-before-you-fail" type of guy mechanic made a simple mistake, according to the caption. "Turns out, unless you know what you're doing, it can be dangerous," he said.
That definitely looked as though he could've been injured. Maybe if I were to attempt the bulb replacement on my Accord, I'd end up in a similar situation.
