SALT LAKE CITY — It's not every day that two top-five teams suffer losses on the same day, but Georgia and Miami made the weekend interesting.
We didn't pick the Miami game as a Pick'em selection this week, but we did have the Georgia game. And let's just say a majority of you got that game wrong. But for the 21% of you who picked Ole Miss to get the win (maybe some hometown love for Jaxson Dart?), it was a good day.
Alabama took care of business against LSU in what was considered an elimination game, but only 54% of people expected the Crimson Tide to get the win. We love the games that split people's decisions almost 50-50.
And then there was a presumably down Kansas team giving Iowa State its second consecutive loss of the season. A whopping 96% of all picks had the Cyclones winning that game — oops!
The Utah State game went as planned, with 99% of all picks correct in favor of Washington State.
And, lastly, there was a mild rivalry game that had no controversy or anything out of the unusual. Despite Utah looking like it was going to end BYU's undefeated season, the Cougars came from behind to get the win — and to make 82% of the picks happy they did.
This week, two BYU fans and one Utah fan topped the leaderboard for their efforts in Week 11. Cougars fan Christian Bednar topped the weekend with 236 points, and was followed by Utah fan Rick Starnes and BYU fan Jonathan Hertel, who each tied with 227 points, in second and third, respectively.
