Minnesota will try to post its first five-game winning streak since 2019 when it faces Rutgers at SHI Stadium Saturday. The Gophers current four-game run is its longest since 2021. The last win was over No 24 Illinois and it made Minnesota bowl eligilbe. The Gophers are 3-0 all-time against the Scarlet Knights. This week they will be facing former teammate Athan Kaliakmanis, who transferred to Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights started the season with a 4-0 record but they were hit with a number of injuries and have lost four straight. They need two more wins to be bowl eligible.
