SALT LAKE CITY — Most major races in Utah were wrapped up late Tuesday or early Wednesday, but clerks across the state's 29 counties continue to update results ahead of the statewide canvass on Nov. 25.

Republicans swept all federal and statewide races in the Beehive State, with the Associated Press calling the final three statewide contests — for attorney general, auditor and treasurer — Wednesday afternoon. Derek Brown, a former GOP state chairman, will replace Sean Reyes as attorney general, while Tina Cannon handily won the race for auditor. Marlo Oaks will serve another term as treasurer after winning reelection.

Reyes congratulated Brown on social media Wednesday afternoon, saying the office "looks forward to continuing to serve the people of Utah through civil, criminal and appellate legal excellence."

Former President Donald Trump carried Utah easily, with just over 59% of the vote, as of 5 p.m. Wednesday. More than 970,000 ballots have been counted in the presidential race, which the AP estimates is about 62% of the total votes cast.

KSL.com will provide updated results for key races as they are reported below. Visit our 2024 Election Results page for full results in national, statewide and local elections.
