SALT LAKE CITY — Another weekend of college football is in the books, and if you're a BYU fan you're probably feeling pretty good right now.
The Cougars already surpassed their expected win total for the season and now leads the Big 12 with a 5-0 record. The win on the road over Baylor was predicted by 78% of all Pick'em users — though they might have been sweating it out a little bit when the Bears made a comeback.
The biggest shocker of the week was Utah losing at home to Arizona, which only 2% of all pickers (and 0.2% of Utah fans) selecting the visiting team. The Utes were the easy favorite to get a win, but the visiting Wildcats had other plans to derail almost everyone's weekend.
Alabama also upset the majority by beating Georgia at home in one of the most entertaining finishes of the weekend. The Crimson Tide had believers, no doubt, but less than the Bulldogs, who had 58% of all picks.
Outside of that, the three national games went relatively as planned for the majority — Kansas State (63% of all picks) beat Oklahoma State and Boise State (59%) beat Washington State.
For Week 5 action, three BYU fans topped the leaderboard, with Tyler Dawes coming out on top with 191 points and a perfect 5-0 weekend. Fellow Cougars fans David Blakely (184 points) and Luciana Monsen (182 points) rounded out the top three spots — both had perfect weekends, too.
