SALT LAKE CITY — The Week 4 slate of college football was a doozy!
As such, you may have had your worst week of College Football Pick'em. Don't feel bad, many others did, too. Of the five games we had to choose from last weekend, only one went as planned — at least for the favorite.
BYU's night magic worked in LaVell Edwards Stadium and the Cougars played spoiler to a ranked Kansas State team — in dominant fashion. In fact, only 26% of all picks (and 46.3% of Cougars fans) had BYU pulling out that win.
On the other end of the spectrum, 95% of all picks had Utah State going into the state of Philadelphia and coming out with a win over a down Temple team. Whoops! That 64-yard field goal before halftime really sparked something in the Owls.
For Utah, true freshman Isaac Wilson led a ranked Utes squad into Stillwater and beat a ranked Oklahoma State team on their own turf in a scorching hot game. Only 56% of all picks (and 83.8% of Utes fans) had Utah starting the season 4-0.
In our two national games, Michigan upset the majority (76% of picks had the Trojans) and managed a victory with only 32 passing yards against USC, while Florida State finally got its first win of the season to, once again, ruin everyone's (or at least 62%) picks.
This week, two BYU fans and one Utah fan topped the leaderboard for Week 4 games. BYU fan Parker Mansfield came out on top with 180 points and a perfect 5-0 weekend — lucky! Utah fan Hunter Aldridge came in second with 178 points, narrowly beating out BYU fan Alex Bringhurst, who had 177 points.
Congrats to our winners, who will get a $100, $50 an $25 Amazon gift card, respectively, courtesy of Goldenwest Credit Union.
The overall winners of Pick'em this year will receive a $500 gift card for first place, a $250 gift card for second place and a $100 gift card for third place.
