PARIS — Venezuela's powerlifting champion doesn't know when her hands will stop trembling after setting a Games record at the Paris Paralympic. Clara Sarahy Fuentes Monasterio says she's "out of words, I'm emotional," after winning the women's 50kg class gold medal. The 27-year-old pushed a bar weighing 124 kilograms above her chest. Para powerlifting is a bench press. Fuentes Monasterio, who uses a wheelchair, says her muscle mass increased after giving birth to her son last year. She was forced to go up in weight class and improve her personal best. She didn't expect it would lead to a Paralympics record.
