SALT LAKE CITY — A Salt Lake man was charged Friday with kidnapping and sexually assaulting a teenage boy.

Mohamed V. Fakii, 44, is charged in 3rd District Court with aggravated kidnapping and two counts of aggravated sexual assault, first-degree felonies.

On Tuesday, a 16-year-old boy told police he was walking around his apartment complex near 1100 N. Redwood when "three males approached (him), grabbed him, and carried him into an apartment. (The boy) stated that two of the males held him down on a bed and removed his clothing," according to charging documents.

Fakii then sexually assaulted the teen, the charges state. The boy was then carried into another room and sexually assaulted again.

Because the teen was gone from his own apartment longer than his mother expected, she pinged his phone and found him at Fakii's residence, according to the charges. About the same time, a neighbor said she heard shouting coming from Fakii's apartment and saw several males exit, get into a car and drive off.

Court documents do not indicate if criminal charges are pending against anyone else, or if Fakii and the teen were previously acquainted with each other.
