SAINT-QUENTIN-EN-YVELINES, France — Aditi Ashok of India began the Olympic women's golf competition with a 72. That's not nearly as fascinating as her travel to the Paris Games. Ashok is the only player in the Olympics who competed in the Portland Classic last week on the LPGA Tour. She finished the final round three hours before a flight to London. She made that. She flew to Paris and had to take a detour to the Olympic Village to get her credentials. She didn't play a practice round. She was was challenging early leaders before a double bogey on her last hole.
