WEST VALLEY CITY — A fire broke out at a West Valley City apartment complex Sunday, forcing 30 people to be displaced.

The fire was at the apartment complex at 3810 S. Redwood Road. It started in an upper apartment, which spread to the attic and another apartment unit, according to the West Valley City Fire Department.

Battalion Chief Scott Hall said the fire was out and there were no injuries to residents or firefighters.

Thirty people have been displaced due to the fire.

Hall said the fire caused an estimated $300,000 in damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
