SALT LAKE CITY — The opening of college football's transfer portal Tuesday could be the most intriguing of the mechanism's entry in college sports.

In December, a court ordered a temporary injunction that prevents the NCAA from enforcing eligibility limitations for multi-time transfers through the end of the 2024 spring season.

A little over a month later, another court issued an injunction that stops the NCAA and its member schools from enforcing any rules related to third-party negotiation of NIL compensation until a final decision is made in a case related to Tennessee's NCAA violations and the investigation therein.

It's unknown if anyone of the rulings will have a direct effect on college football. But it is possible that the association soon becomes unable to enforce residency requirement (i.e. a one-year sit-out for all multi-time transfers) for transfers, which would create a certain amount of chaos in the sport.

With that background, here's a look at the players from Utah FBS programs who have entered the transfer portal. All announcements were made on social media, unless otherwise noted.
