SALT LAKE CITY — The 2023 regular season has concluded, which means the transfer portal will be busy at work — both for incoming and outgoing players to the University of Utah football program.
The transfer portal officially opens Dec. 4, but players can — and already have — announce their intention to enter the portal before then. Once the portal officially opens, Utah football will be open for business, so to speak.
One caveat to the portal, though: Athletes on teams that lost their coach — through a firing or resignation to take another job — are immediately eligible to transfer to another program before the portal officially opens. Also, graduate transfers are immediately eligible, as well.
Also, there are several players on Utah's roster who walked on senior day and will pursue an NFL career through the upcoming draft.
Here's a look at where Utah stands going into the 2024 season.
Note: If a current player on Utah's roster is not listed, either he has not declared his intent to transfer or did not take part in senior day activities. There still may be players declare for the NFL draft that did not walk on senior day, but we'll assume they're on Utah's roster unless that changes.
