Estimated read time: Less than a minute

Volunteers gathered at the James Walter Fitzgerald WMA in Tooele County to make improvements to benefit wildlife. Pheasants Forever, Tooele County employees, and the Holliger family planted rose hip and golden currant bushes to feed and provide cover for birds.

These WMA improvements are part of a five year project to improve the land and ask for more help from the Division of Wildlife Resources. Future projects will include soil amendments, improving water delivery to ponds and planted vegetation, adding nest boxes for waterfowl, and farming additional food plots as cover for upland game.
