GARLAND, Box Elder County — Finishing off yet another win against Green Canyon High School Wednesday night, the Lady Bears lacrosse team at Bear River High School continues what has been a long record of remaining mostly undefeated.
The team has so far won all but two of their games since the program became sanctioned, with now 101 total wins.
"It's all the people in the past have helped us get here as well," Tristin Smart, a senior, said. "I think that we just have standards and you live up to them, and that's the expectation. And you live up to that expectation. That's the standard."

Fellow players also credit the discipline and leadership of their coaches.
"I love our coaches; they've taught me lots of good life lessons, along with lacrosse," senior Gracee Page said. "Things that I will take with me outside of high school."
Head coach Jeremy Webb came into the program five years ago at the invitation of his oldest daughter. They needed someone to coach the team.
"I was helping with the wrestling team at the time," Webb said. "I never played lacrosse in my life."
Webb said he worked to instill in the team some of the values he learned in his six years with the Air Force.
"One of the things I actually live by, is integrity. Excellence in all you do," Webb explained. "And that's not just on the lacrosse field. That's in the classroom. You sit in the front of the classroom because where as a teacher, I find a lot of my students that excel."

Team members also point out that they remember those values through an easy to remember acronym "DABEARS," which stands for:
- Dominate and discipline
- Attitude
- Be where your feet are
- Effort
- TeAmwork
- IntegRity
- ReSpect
It's not all pulled from the first letters of the words and phrases, but the girls say it works.
"Put in that work, no matter what. Give that hundred percent, 110%. Just keep that effort up," senior Alyssa Briel said.
