LA VERKIN, Washington County — A 45-year-old woman has died after being injured in an off-highway vehicle crash in southern Utah last weekend.

Capt. Chase Pili of the Utah Department of Natural Resources said Angelina Tomas-Francisco, of Washington County, was one of the three people riding in the vehicle when it "traveled through a pothole" along Overlook Road on Saturday night.

All three riders were ejected from the vehicle; none were wearing helmets, according to Pili.

Tomas-Francisco was taken to Washington County Hospital, where she later died, officials said in a media release on Wednesday.

"The Utah Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division extends condolences to family and friends," the department wrote on its Facebook page.

A 20-year-old woman, who was operating the vehicle, and an 18-year-old passenger both sustained minor injuries from the crash. The incident remains under investigation, the department said.
