PARK CITY — A Florida woman died in a ski accident at Park City Mountain on Tuesday, resort officials confirmed Friday.

The 61-year-old woman, whose identity has not been released, was on an intermediate trail near the Dreamscape Lift when the incident took place, according to a press release from Vail Resorts.

Details about the accident were not provided.

Park City Ski Patrol responded to a "serious incident" on the mountain, and the woman was airlifted to the University of Utah Hospital, where she later died, resort officials said.

"On behalf of the Park City Mountain team, we share our heartfelt condolences with the family and friends of our guest," said Deirdra Walsh, vice president and chief operating officer of Park City Mountain, in a statement sent to KSL.
