SOMEWHERE IN THE WOODS — She's lurking.

And no, it's not a bird, not a plane — and it's definitely not Michael Myers.

It's that song. THAT song by THAT artist that comes on every year at Christmastime, and plays 24/7 when the holiday season starts — which is year-round for some people.

Hearing that Mariah Carey song means the holiday season has started — if it hasn't already (for that one random person who's had the Christmas tree up since the summer, you know who you are).

And for those who fear the holidays, like one green-skinned Dr. Seuss character in particular, this is the real Halloween scare — to know that Christmas is, in those famous words, "practically here."

As for Jamie Lee Curtis, the OG "Halloween" movie character, in this social post ... she probably hears (and sees) Mariah Carey in her nightmares. Oof.
