SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Mammoth are fully embracing Utah culture, one "dirty soda" at a time.
On Thursday, the team shared a video to social media showing players behind a counter, mixing up their own drink creations with the caption, "Utah soda shops have some competition 😂🥤."
For anyone outside Utah, "dirty sodas" are a classic. Usually a regular fountain drink loaded with flavored syrups, fruit, and a splash of coconut cream.
The Mammoth players seemed to have a blast trying their hand at the local favorite. The comments quickly filled with Utahns joking that the team might have a future business venture if hockey doesn't work out.
Dirty sodas have become part of Utah's personality and a go-to for long drives, post-practice pick-me-ups, or just an excuse to grab something sweet with friends. So it feels fitting that the state's newest pro team is getting in on the fun.
Whether you're Team Swig, Fiiz, Sip N', or any of the others or just curious what all the buzz is about it's safe to say the Mammoth nailed the assignment.
