SALT LAKE CITY — Utah may not have landed a marquee name in free agency, but they quietly leveled up the roster with a trio of seasoned vets — each bringing something unique to the Mammoth.

Forward Brandon Tanev and defenseman Nate Schmidt and goaltender Vitek Vanecek, all inked deals with the team as the market opened. Together, they add not just depth, but valuable veteran experience — Schmidt and Vanecek are fresh off winning rings in Florida, while Tanev, is poised to become a cult hero in Utah, according to his agent and general manager Bill Armstrong.

SLC Puck host Austin Facer praised the signings as smart, calculated steps toward a playoff push and shared his observations from Utah's Prospect Development Camp in Park City.
