1A/2A girls wrestling: 5 champions guide Duchesne's repeat title

RICHFIELD — As girls wrestling continues to grow in the 1A/2A classification, a familiar name remains at the top of the heap.

Breann Ivie won her second state title at 110 pounds, and Duchesne placed five wrestlers atop the podium to clinch a second consecutive team title Saturday evening at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield.

Ariana Jones (130), Mckenlee Sprecher (135), Daniella Spencer (145) and Abigail Woods (190) also earned individual titles for the Eagles, who out-paced second-place Enterprise 213.5 points to 158.5.

Rich (124), San Juan (91) and American Leadership Academy (78) rounded out the top five.
