ANT ISLAND — A colony of ants and a group of humans are put to the same test.

Conducted by a team (of humans) at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel, two of the most prolific builder species were placed in an evolutionary competition.

Ants and humans are both tasked with moving an I-shaped structure through openings on two parallel walls.

This YouTube video description says the test "shed new light on group decision-making and the pros and cons of cooperation versus going it alone."
