SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Hockey Club gave fans a night to remember at the team's debut at the Delta Center on Monday.
The 3-2 overtime win over the Los Angeles Kings was packed with unforgettable moments. Within a span of a few minutes near the end of the first period, the crowd was treated to a power play goal, a fight, another fight and another power play goal.
And to cap it off, the team's superstar, Clayton Keller, punctuated the evening with a game-winning goal in overtime. It almost felt scripted, jokes SLC Puck! host Austin Facer.
A pair of donnybrooks also brought the fans to their feet. The first fight of the night, starring fan favorite Liam O'Brien, may have been just for show, but the second, instigated by Travis Barron, was a prime example of the team toughness fans can except.
You don't touch the goaltender without consequence, Facer explains in his episode of SLC Puck!
