PINTURA, Washington County — Three structures are a total loss after a house caught fire in a remote area of southern Utah on Tuesday morning.

Firefighters were dispatched to the blaze at 6125 N. Old Beatty Ranch Road in Pintura, Washington County, about 10 a.m. Hurricane Valley Fire District officials said in a social media post that everyone in the home was able to exit safely, but one person was treated for minor injuries on scene.

Firefighters fought the blaze with water from their trucks, while tenders shuttled water from the closest water source approximately 8 miles away.

The flames were extinguished, but the home and two sheds were each deemed a total loss. Hurricane Valley Fire said several 20-gallon propane tanks on the property near the house exploded during the fire, though a 400-gallon propane tank that was further away vented but didn't explode.

The blaze caused a small brush fire that burned less than a quarter of an acre.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
