AMERICAN FORK — A moped rider in his mid-30s has died after being struck by a vehicle Saturday evening.
About 9:30 p.m., the moped was heading east near 300 N. 700 East when a westbound vehicle made a left-hand turn, hitting the moped.
The name of the man who was killed has not been released.
The incident is under investigation, according to American Fork Police Lt. Stuart Fore. The man driving the vehicle that struck the moped remained on scene and was cooperative, he said.
