ONCE UPON A TIME — Photoshop is an amazing tool that can turn a mundane moment into something that looks really fun on a screen.
I took a photo of my nieces and stuck them in the middle of Arendelle, and they loved it (at the time, my 4-year-old niece insisted she was Elsa).
What the parents of these girls are doing is so much better and will stick with their children even longer. This isn't just a photo on a screen, but a project that brings the family together, as the family recreates a scene from Disney's "Cinderella" complete with a magical carriage.
Anything they can bring into the photo, before Photoshop, is created. The family makes a carriage, dons costumes and wigs, and even uses a fog machine as they pose for pictures. The mom then adds just a few tweaks in Photoshop, expanding the sparkler into a wave of magic and a few other details.
One of my favorite parts of the video was watching how the whole family gets involved in the process, adding their own skills and personalities.
Wrangling children in for photos is usually pretty tricky, but I imagine this family doesn't have as much of a problem.
In her channel, Alexandriaslens, the mom calls herself a "fantasy photographer." This is just one example of many out-of-this-world photos on her YouTube channel.
The biggest question I'm left with is what is happening to the props — with all of the videos they seem to have a lot of them.
