PUMPKIN PATCH — Some celebrities aren't all about the glamour and are OK with getting their nails dirty.
Actress Jennifer Garner gave fans a glimpse into her garden in a recent video posted on Instagram, where she shared some "nerdy farm facts" about pumpkins.
"This flower is both male and female," she said, holding a yellow flower and sporting overalls, a hat and gloves.
She then points out the pistil inside the flower, which needs to be pollinated.
"Do you know who takes care of that?" Garner said. "Bees! Thank you for the bees!"
She noted once the pumpkin starts growing, the flower falls off.
At the end of the short video, Garner poses with some of her more mature, vibrantly colored pumpkins.
It doesn't feel like summer's over yet, but this video helped me get ready to say "goodbye" to summer and "hello" to the changing leaves, cooling temps and, well, pumpkins.
It's not the first time Garner has taken her followers to a pumpkin patch.
Two years ago, she posted a video sharing that her family's Oklahoma farm is a supplier to Once Upon A Farm, a baby food company Garner co-founded.
