SALT LAKE CITY — Larry Gelwix has been called the winningest coach in America.

"Little did I ever dream that my coaching career would extend 36 years and over 3,000 young men," Gelwix said.

In total, it was 418 rugby wins at Highland High with those 3,000 young men.

"He was a man of strength — no doubt about it — but even more than that he was a man of love," said Jon Schmidt, a member of the Piano Guys musical group.

Gelwix's influence earned him a place in the Rugby Hall of Fame. The legendary coach talks about his career — not just on the rugby field, but in the mission field in Fresno, California. See his story in the video above.
